I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Yesterday I had grand plans to work on swap cards and homework for school but some friends called me away for some other “pressing” matters (i.e. to hang out). As a result, today has been spent catching up on everything I meant to do yesterday!
So I’ve been up in my Stampin’ room for a good part of the afternoon. My task today has been to really start tackling swap cards for next month’s Convention in Salt Lake City.
Well, I love the card I made on Thursday (Sailing into the Sunset), but with wet embossing it was a little too complicated to reproduce 25 (or more) times, even in a production line format. So I took that idea and varied it a little bit.
Here’s the result… I’ve appropriately renamed it “Moonlight Sail”. See what you think…
Since it was a “nighttime” card, the “Hooray for Today” greeting didn’t seem to fit, so I used new greetings from the Project Life Remember This Stamp Set (Item #135786). I think it accurately depicts me cruising… “Adventure bound…” and everyday when you’re off work and relaxing is “…a day to remember”.
Now I’m off to make 25 (or more) of this card!
Have a great Sunday. To all the dads out there, Happy Father’s Day! A special shout out to my dad, Steve – the best dad out there! Looking forward to spending time with him and the rest of the family at the beach next weekend!
Happy Father’s Day! Happy Stampin’!
Let’s stamp the day (and night) away!
